Profile and Experience - Testimonials - Natalie's Blog
I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in Dublin, Ireland & moved to Toronto in the 80's with my Mom. A big change from Dublin let me tell you, even for a child.
It's funny, I was just talking with my Mom the other day about our first visit to the CN Tower...I remember looking out from the observation deck on to the 'city of lights' & I was so overwhelmed by everything...it was so big, so busy, so lively, a lot to take in!
I stood at the window gazing out at all the lights & I so vividly remember the feeling I had...
I remember saying out loud (to myself),"This was waiting for me". Pretty ambitious for a ten year old I know, but I think it was more-so coming from a feeling of comfort...I was meant to be here.
Little did I know that years later I'd be such a part of that busy, lively atmosphere that I almost take that moment for granted...almost.
From the time I was a child the phrase "Never forget where you come from." has been engraved into my mind. You know, sometimes it is so easy to get engrossed in the craziness that can be our lives...I think it's so important to have people in your life to keep you firmly grounded (and in my case, 3 dogs ~ yes 3 of them).
This is why I have always gravitated to jobs that have put me in a position of working with people, not machines (although I can't quite escape the computer).
I have had the opportunity to work in many different industries such as retail sales, as a store manager in the telecommunications field and in car leasing for GE Capital in the last 9+ years, and have been privileged to work with some really great people from all walks of life.
Real estate has been my career choice mainly because I get the opportunity to meet new people all of the time. On top of that, I get to help my buyer clients take one of the biggest steps we come to in our lives… buying a home. It's a fast paced environment for sure, but for someone like myself who has a lot of energy to burn, I love it.
More than that, I have the opportunity to assist people in finding a new home where they will be comfortable, happy, and where they'll make memories that will stay with them forever. That alone is what makes my job worthwhile. "Home is where the heart is", as they say, and I have the privilege in helping to put a smile on someone else's face...something that was always lacking from my regular 9-5's.
I have joined Toronto’s Real Estate Team - Thomas & Sally Cook PLUS!! because I believe that the service that we provide to each and every client is definitely 'World Class'. I want to work on a team that has a 'By Referral Only' philosophy, because I want to create relationships for life with my clients.
I also value the fact that every Team member attends ongoing training sessions and each of us must achieve our Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. The ABR training is a full three

Shortly after graduating McMaster University with a Masters Degree in Economics I pursued my entrepreneurial spirit and started a company designing, importing and distributing trendy home and garden decor items to the retail trade across North America. I nurtured its growth for 16 years and became a trend setter in a very competitive market.
I had the privilege of developing and maintaining relationships with over 3500 diverse retailers, with numerous suppliers located around the world including India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Latvia, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and Indonesia while at the same time managing a sales team of over 65 people.
Relationship building has always been my passion. In my years of experience relationship building has always been about credibility, trust and loyalty. I took pride in caring about my client’s best interests and gaining their confidence was a timeless asset to both myself as a professional and the clients I catered to.
One of my long-time hobbies has been design. More specifically I have enjoyed renovating and designing the homes I have lived in. I have acquired a great deal of knowledge with respect to real estate value and the little things that go unnoticed but can add tremendous appeal, value and longevity to any home. It was clear to me that my next venture in my life was to pursue a rewarding career in real estate combining both my love for design and my passion for building relationships with people.
