Located just east of Sherbourne and just north of Carlton, there is virtually nothing necessary to your day-to-day living that is not within a short walk or short ride. There are lots of nice restaurants in this area. If something a little posh is to your liking, there are at least 5 top restaurants on Church St. and a dozen more that have interesting decor and/or ambiance. There are numerous bars in the area ranging from bizarre to elegant and from noisy and boisterous to quiet and refined. This area is well served by the TTC. To get to the subway, take the Sherbourne or Wellesley St bus, or the Carlton streetcar. Or walk... it’s quite close to both the Bloor and the Yonge lines. Since many of the attractions of Toronto—theatres, music halls, movie theatres—are downtown, it’s also quite economical to take a cab rather than a car.

This neighbourhood is quite diverse, with an interesting and vibrant mix of people.  Other great neighbourhoods are very close by including Yorkville, the Danforth, Cabbagetown and Riverdale with lovely old historic homes and you can easily walk to the Eaton Centre and the Don Valley Trails. There is a Community Centre at the corner of Wellesley and Sherbourne with a wonderful library facility, day care and basketball courts for the youth. 

As well as a few smaller parks and greenspaces, there is Allan Gardens - at the South side of Carlton St between Jarvis and Sherbourne. This botanical jewel includes six greenhouses covering 4,900 square meters of beautiful plants from around the world. These are supplemented by colourful, seasonal shows. The centre piece is the historic, cast-iron and glass domed “Palm House”. It was built in 1910. Riverdale Farm is close by—tour the Farm's scenic 7.5 acres along pathways through wooded areas, around ponds, and into butterfly-herb-flower-vegetable gardens, stop and see the farm animals.


To “de-stress” you after your long day, there are great amenities in the ‘sister’ condo building at 225 Wellesley available including a gym, saunas, a party room with kitchen you can rent, and a library.
